2.4.1. B-rdy Night Vision and Thermals Operator Course

The entire course is conducted in the spirit of the B-rdy Performance Oriented approach, which means we focus not only on technique execution, but also on the ability to shoot effectively in low light conditions.

  • Make darkness your tactical advantage
  • Modern and constantly developing methodology based on the B-rdy educational system and practical experience
  • The lessons combine Force on Force training, Live Fire training and different locations
  • Long-term approach in the spirit of B-rdy Performance Oriented training – i.e., measurable increase participants performance

The B-rdy Modern CQB Course is a Tier 2 course in the B-rdy hierarchy. In our concept, it is not an entertainment course, but comprehensive training based on a methodical approach that builds on and follows up on the skills acquired at the Tier 1 level, primarily in the areas of B-rdy Weapons Handling and Shooting, Dark Environment Individual Courses, B-rdy Performance Trainings, and other selected skills. Tier 2 courses are typically organized for entire registered teams, primarily from the armed forces. At the request from graduates of our B-rdy Weapons Handling & Shooting courses, we can offer several classes and lessons to form a functioning team.

As part of your preparation, we recommend refreshing your knowledge of:

  • safety, weapon control, loading and unloading, working with the safety catch, ammo management, and tactical reloading
  • B-rdy Shooting Basics Tetragon (BSBT – posture and center of gravity, weapon grip, trigger pull, and eye work) in full gear with helmet and gloves
  • left and right guard, arm and hand swaps from various weapon positions
  • multiple target engagement – shooting at multiple targets
  • movements in different directions within the team (cover-and-go procedure)
  • procedures for shooting from different positions (standing, high and low kneeling, prone)
  • shooting at close range
  • reaction to malfunction by switching weapons
  • solving common malfunctions
  • cover and its use – working with distance from cover (light/dark differences), weapon position on different types of cover (vertical, horizontal, slanted), slicing the pie, footwork, search fire, vertical position changes, etc.
  • lowlight & dark conditions with rifle and pistol
  • basics of teamwork (safe directions, working on cover with multiple people, cover-and-go procedures, etc.)

However, there is nothing to worry about, we will proceed step by step and from the basics according to the group’s abilities and skills.
