Michal Straka

Michal “Mike” Straka has been a key member of the B-rdy instructor and executive team for numerous years. From an enthusiast of scuba diving and skydiving, he has become a responsible shooter and security expert who enjoys passing on the experience he has gained at B-rdy to our students. His expertise is primarily in survival and Personal Security Detail and Close Protection services.

He passed the selection process for the 43rd Airborne Battalion in Chrudim on his first attempt, earned his red beret, and has been a member of the 5th Commando since March 2023. After the outbreak of war, he was also part of the Military Advisory Group in Ukraine.

Together with his colleagues from the B-rdy instructor team, Mike also became one of the first holders of the international Combat Life Saver certification from the American NAEMT association in the civilian sector, and he maintains this expertise and certification.

Mike is also a member of the B-rdy [be ready] shooting team and has been involved, for example, in organizing the Czech Combat international shooting competition and developing course methodology in the areas of small unit tactics (SUT), CQB, and soft target protection.
