1.3.1. Armorer’s course for a Glock pistols – Reference Jindra B.
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Glock's Armorers Course to everyone and thank B-rdy for organizing the event. I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the course, where we learned about the history of Glock from an experienced gunsmith at the beginning. We learned about the development of each generation and their models, as well as the technical differences between them. Everything was nicely presented, both verbally and visually, and last but not least, practically on the weapons that were available during the course. I liked how everything was clearly described, from the functioning of the weapon's mechanism to a list of all the individual parts with a description of what they are used for in the weapon and how they work. There was also a discussion of the popular topic of tuning and some recommendations regarding the advantages and disadvantages. The practical part, where we learned how to disassemble weapons into all their individual parts and reassemble them, was very informative, and as the owner of two Glocks, I would like to highlight a few tricks that the armorer showed us. It will definitely make my work easier in the future by eliminating the need to search for parts around the apartment :). It was also interesting to learn how to look for small signs of wear on individual parts of the weapons, which tell us that it is time to replace them. At the end of this comprehensive gunsmithing course, there were also recommendations on how to properly care for a weapon. How to clean it properly, where to lubricate it, and where definitely not to lubricate it. For me, it was a great, complex event.
